According to police, seven Senior DIGs have been transferred, including Police Spokesman Ajith Rohana and a DIG, with immediate effect on service needs.

As a result, Senior DIG Nandana Munasinghe was promoted from SDIG in command of North Central Province to SDIG in charge of Administration.

SDIG Ajith Rohana has been promoted as Senior Director of Investigations for Crimes and Trafficking.

SDIG LS Pathinayake was promoted to SDIG of Community Police and Environment from SDIG of Crime and Traffic, and P.P.S.M Dharmaratna was promoted from SDIG in charge of the Northern Province to SDIG of the North Western Province and Acting SDIG of the North Central Province.

SDIG W. K. Jayalath has been transferred to the Northern Province, SDIG R.L Kodithuwakku has been transferred to the Sabaragamuwa Province and acting SDIG of Uva Province, and SDIG M.D.R.L Daminda has been appointed to the Southern Province.

DIG G.A.N.L. Wijesena has been promoted to DIG in Charge of Anuradhapura District from DIG in Charge of Batticaloa District.
