The SLPP requests that the Minister in Charge of the Fuel Price Increase resign.

The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna has urged that the Energy Minister resign from his position, citing the country's recent gasoline price hike as a source of concern.

“At a time when people are going through a difficult time, the subject Minister must be held accountable for the rise in fuel prices, and he should resign after accepting responsibility for creating such a situation,” the statement said.

Minister Udaya Gammanpila is Sri Lanka's Subject Minister for Energy.
