The SLAF has released a QR code for the Covid-19 Vaccination Information Tracker.

The No 1 Information Technology Wing at SLAF Base Ratmalana developed a COVID 19 Vaccination Information Tracker QR Code on the orders of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, and under the supervision of the Directorate of Information Technology. It is intended to be used by all vaccinated personnel of the SLAF.

The Commander of the Air Force, Chief of Staff, members of the Air Force Board of Management, Director Information Technology, Officers from the Directorate of Information Technology, and the Project Team from the No 1 ITW at Ratmalana attended the launch of the unique QR Code system today at the Air Force Headquarters Auditorium. All SLAF personnel who have been vaccinated will be able to enter their job details, vaccination information including the vaccination brand and dates of getting the first and second doses after getting this QR Code.

The Director of Information Technology, Air Commodore Arosha Vithana, presented the Commander with the first copy of the QR code. Following the lecture, the Commander scanned his QR Code, which revealed his immunization history. QR Codes were also issued to members of the Air Force Board of Management following the presentation. The Commander also took a few moments to thank the members of the Directorate of Information Technology and the Project Team from the No 1 ITW for their relentless labor and dedication in making this project a reality in such a short period. Individually, the Commander praised and thanked the Project Team.Squadron Leader KDC Krishantha, the Commanding Officer of the No 1 ITW, commanded this Project Team. Flight Lieutenant HGL Pushpakumara, Flight Lieutenant MMNS Jayathilaka, Sergeant Sandamal GWDM, Sergeant Madushanka HDG, and Sergeant Sanjeewa KAG were the other members of the team.
