Sajith Premadasa, the Leader of the Opposition, has stated that his party will reject the Government's proposal to provide vehicles to MPs at the expense of taxpayers.

“We, the SJB, reject the government's proposal to provide vehicles to MPs at taxpayer expense. We encourage the government to use these limited public money to guarantee that all Sri Lankans receive vaccines.”

“We will never support the use of public funds to improve the lifestyle of politicians; instead, such funds should be used to promote a thriving and developed motherland.” The leader of the opposition sent out a tweet.
