Basil to enter Parliament as MP

Political sources stated that Basil Rajapaksa will enter Parliament next month after being sworn in as a national list MP.

In an anticipated cabinet reshuffle, Rajapaksa would most likely be sworn in as the Minister of Finance and Economic Development.

Rajapaksa is expected to be sworn in as a member of Parliament on July 6.

Ranjith Bandara, a member of Parliament, is expected to quit to allow Basil Rajapaksa to be sworn in.
