SriLankan Airlines has announced that passengers from Sri Lanka will be unable to travel to the United Kingdom after June 8th.
SriLankan Airlines announced today that, as of June 8, passengers from Sri Lanka will be unable to travel to the United Kingdom unless they are British, Irish nationals, or anyone with UK residency rights, as Sri Lanka will be added to the UK's "red list" of countries.
Passengers who have already purchased tickets for SriLankan's next three flights to London (UL 503) on the 5th, 6th, and 7th of June will not be affected by the change, according to the airline.
In a statement, SriLankan indicated that travellers who were authorized to go had to take a COVID-19 test and get a negative result three days (72 hours) before their flight.“They must also book a managed quarantine hotel within 14 days of their arrival date. The reservation will include a hotel, quarantine transportation, and COVID-19 travel tests on days 2 and 8 of quarantine. Fill out a passenger locator form (PLF) with information about where passengers will be quarantined once they arrive. To complete their passenger locator form, passengers must supply a quarantine package invoice number, according to the statement.
Passengers should book their quarantine hotel, as well as their day 2 and day 8 tests, at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/booking-and-staying-in-a-quarantine-hotel-when-you-arrive-in-england.
