In Western Province, health standards on worker capacity have been amended.
For government, semi-government, and private organizations in the Western Province, the Health Ministry has released new health standards regarding workplace capacity.
As a result, Health Services Director General Dr. Asela Gunawardena stated that heads of Government institutions categorized as essential services could only summon employees and officials based on the workplace capacity highlighted in the health guideline.
Heads of government, semi-government, and private institutions that provide non-essential services can also call their personnel and officials for up to two days every week.
These employees and officials will only be permitted to report to work if they are unable to perform their obligations at home, and office transportation should be made available to them.
Furthermore, in the Western Province, public transit will be available solely to personnel of critical services.
