Bathiya describes the hardship he went through after contracting Covid.

Bathiya Jayakodi, a Sri Lankan artist who recently recovered from Covid-19, has spoken out about his experience.

Bathiya Jayakodi told Hari TV's Lahiru Mudalige that he was informed on April 30th that he had attended a meeting at which a Covid infected individual had also participated.

He reported he acquired a cough despite taking two PCR tests until the 7th of May, both of which came back negative.

He was admitted to the hospital since his cough had increased, and Bathiya confirmed that he had had respiratory problems as a result.

During his 10-day stint in the hospital, the singer revealed he was on a ventilator for six to seven days.

“When I was diagnosed with Covid pneumonia, only doctors came to see me because I was alone in a different room. Doctors were concerned for four days since the illness had spread to my lungs,” he explained.

Bathiya Jayakodi said he was telling the world about his experiences because it was a serious matter and he wanted people to be cautious.

“I've shed 5kg and am now feeling a little sluggish. In a few weeks, I'm hoping everything will be alright. He stated, "I have now resumed my work."

Bathiya also admitted that due to work commitments, he was unable to obtain the coronavirus vaccine, which he admitted was something he should not have put off. (Source: NewsWire)
