When it comes to the Sinopharm COVID vaccination, China claims that Sri Lanka receives the best corporate pricing and the quickest delivery.

In reaction to media claims that Bangladesh had purchased the vaccine from China for $10 a unit and Sri Lanka had paid $15, the Chinese embassy in Colombo issued a statement.

According to the Chinese embassy, Bangladesh's health minister clarified last week that their procurement agreement, including pricing, is still being finalized.

Later, the Chinese embassy's official Twitter account responded to a question by saying that multiple pricing ranges are standard procedure for all pharmaceutical businesses, and that Sri Lanka receives the best corporate pricing and the fastest delivery.
