Several populations afflicted by the Covid epidemic will get a Rs. 5000 stipend.

The government has agreed to offer a stipend to a certain set of people who have been impacted by the coronavirus outbreak.

Shehan Semasinghe, a State Minister, stated that the government will begin paying a Rs. 5000 stipend on June 2nd.
The stipend will be granted to Samurdhi beneficiaries, people who are currently receiving government benefits, low-income earners, and those who have lost their jobs as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, according to him.
