Airports in Sri Lanka will reopen tomorrow. Travelers from two nations are subject to restrictions.
After being briefly closed due to the outbreak of the third wave of the coronavirus, Sri Lanka's airports will reopen tomorrow.
The temporary shutdown of airports will be lifted at midnight tonight, according to the Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited.
Passengers will be permitted to enter Sri Lanka only under strict conditions.
Meanwhile, a decision was made today to prohibit visitors from arriving in Sri Lanka from tomorrow who have visited Vietnam within the previous 14 days.
The prohibition is in effect immediately and will remain in effect until further notice, according to the Authority, which also stated that all airlines have been notified.
Passengers who have visited India within the last 14 days will not be allowed to enter Sri Lanka.
In the meanwhile, all inbound travelers would be subjected to a mandated 14-day quarantine period in Sri Lanka.
The efforts were intended to prevent the Indian version of the coronavirus from spreading to Sri Lanka. (Source: NewsWire)
